Made improvements to the chilled water distribution system to significantly reduce energy consumption during cold weather months and during periods other than normal building operating hours. Improvements include:
- Re-commissioning of each terminal unit controller to improve VAV minimum air set-points.
- Replacing, recalibrating, and re-commissioning CO2 sensors for improved demand control ventilation to reduce heating and cooling energy consumption.
- Daylight harvesting through the installation of new fixtures with synchronous dimmable ballasts and photo sensors for building perimeter areas presenting opportunities to harvest PBS P-100 required foot-candles from natural light.
- Adding a timing system to courthouse emergency/panic switch control system to reduce energy usage when not needed.
